BioSan
BioSan was founded in 1992 by a group of Genetic Engineering scientists of the Latvian Republic Microbiology institute. We are the leading developer and manufacturer of scientific and laboratory equipment in the field of sample preparation and analysis.
We are driven by the following principles:
multi-functionality - one instrument to replace several devices saving time and resources; attractive design, small footprint, convenient and electrically safe.
The long-term strategy of development:
"Professional toys for young and experienced scientists" that means opening a new niche in the market of the laboratory equipment - the labware, which is economic under the price and consumed energy, compact and have a new bioform design, and have a full electrosafety.
(The most of our devices have an external power unit on 12 volt with the appropriate certificates).
Among its are:
- CH-100 cooler/heater thermostat
- PST-60 shaker for immunoplates
- bioRS-24 rotator for tubes
- TS-100 thermoshaker for tubes.
In 1995 BioSan started production:
mini-orbital shakers - PSU-2T, PSU-5, PSU-10 (now a OS-10), mini-rocker MR-1, mini-3-D-shakers, mini-rotator RS-24, mini-magnetic stirrers MS-3000, mini-vortex V-1.
The main feature was

- 12-volt operation (external power supply from 3 till 10 Watt).
Those time it was seamed as "very strange", especially when we demonstrate it on a leading Germans exhibitions Biotechnika 1995, 1997, because of to innovative approach to the laboratory common used instruments.
Today, when our idea is obvious for many world-leading producers of laboratory instruments our brand, as innovative company is a popular in many world scientific leading countries.
Our innovative design is demonstrated by receiving the "best innovative product in Latvia in 2000" reward under the project management of Dr. Vasily Bankovsky.
