NorDiag’s technology can be applied to diagnostics for infectious diseases and cancer. In addition, NorDiag is developing genetic tests for the detection of mutations arising in cancer. NorDiag is committed to providing clinical laboratories with novel, accurate, and useful diagnostic tools. NorDiag aspires to be one of the leading companies in selected niches within molecular diagnostics for human diseases. Specifically, NorDiag develops: Automated nucleic acid isolation from bacteria, viruses and cells in difficult clinical samples Automated systems and tests to assist in the detection of colorectal cancer at a precancerous or early stage The illustration below shows the strategic positioning of the company: NorDiag’s main objective is to deliver automated nucleic acid purification solutions for difficult clinical samples, and prepare nucleic acids for downstream genetic analysis. Thereby providing clinical laboratories with a more advanced automation than is currently available. The automated solutions will be designed to integrate with the analyses/amplification systems provided by the leading diagnostics companies. NorDiag is currently developing an assay for the early detection of colorectal cancer, which will provide the entire value chain, from nucleic acid isolation to analysis in an integrated system. NorDiag was founded in 2002 and has its headquarters in Oslo – Norway. The company has offices and laboratories in Bergen - Norway, Stockholm - Sweden, and West Chester (PA) - USA.
